A boxing gym for women
was getting ready to launch.
Started by an champion boxer, the branding needed to match the level of training and connect with women interested in boxing, personal training, and weight loss.

So, we gave it a
big idea and a name…
Next Round is drawn from the rounds fought in boxing and speaks to the transformation that can come from fitness training. It encourages customers to step into the next phase of their lives—through weight loss, strength and health. The name also gives a nod to the founder’s personal journey from boxing to coaching and training.

Then designed a
logo and visual identity,
Inspired by the corner of the boxing ring, we captured the spirit of the sport in the logo design without going gimmicky. We chose fonts and design elements that felt more modern than traditional gym branding and chose pop-y colors that would resonate with women, without bathing it in pink. Instead, we kept the design to powerful, bold blues and black and white photography with minimal pops of pink, teal and yellow.

Crafted taglines
to speak to women,
We re-appropriated the phrase Fight Like a Girl, turning it into an anthem of empowerment. We paired it with bold typography and simple supporting copy to keep the message clear and unapologetic.

and developed clear and
cohesive Brand Guidelines.
Taking all of these elements, we built out comprehensive Brand Guidelines to show how the logo, fonts, colors and copy could translate across merch, advertising, and digital and to give Next Round a solid foundation for its launch.
